Dear Friends and Supporters of WPT Nonwovens Corp.,

We were delighted to receive an invitation from the chamber to participate in the Next Generation Leadership class at OCHS (Ohio County High School). This program, aimed at cultivating the leadership potential of our local youth, aligns perfectly with our values here at WPT Nonwovens Corp. As advocates for education and community engagement, we eagerly accepted the opportunity to open our doors to these bright young minds.

The Next Generation Leadership class is divided into two parts: classroom activities featuring the JA Titan Program and field trips to local businesses. With a roster of esteemed companies like W Ky Distilling, OCWD, Kimball, the BD amphitheater, and the Courthouse already on board, we knew we were in excellent company. The chance to join this lineup of esteemed businesses in shaping the future of our community was an opportunity we couldn’t pass up.

On Tuesday afternoon, February 13th, we welcomed 40 enthusiastic students from OCHS into our facilities. While not every student could attend due to scheduling constraints, we were thrilled to engage with approximately two-thirds of the class. Their energy and eagerness to learn were evident from the moment they arrived, and we were inspired by their curiosity and enthusiasm.

During their visit, students had the opportunity to tour our facilities, learn about our manufacturing processes, and gain insights into the innovative world of nonwoven fabrics. We were impressed by their insightful questions and genuine interest in our operations. It was clear that these young individuals possess the drive and potential to become future leaders in our industry and beyond.

We extend our sincerest thanks to the chamber for organizing this invaluable program and for including us in their schedule. Their dedication to fostering the next generation of leaders is commendable, and we are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this initiative.

We also want to express our gratitude to the other businesses involved in the program for their commitment to supporting education and youth development in our community. Together, we are making a meaningful impact on the lives of these students and helping to shape a brighter future for our community.

As we reflect on our experience with the Next Generation Leadership class, we are reminded of the importance of investing in the next generation. By providing opportunities for education, mentorship, and hands-on experiences, we can empower young people to reach their full potential and make a positive difference in the world.

We look forward to continued collaboration with OCHS, the chamber, and other local businesses as we work together to nurture and support the leaders of tomorrow.

Sincerely,

Kim Hale
