Beaver Dam, KY — WPT Nonwovens completed the documents necessary on July 14, 2017, to purchase the abandoned Nestaway facility in Beaver Dam, KY. WPT Nonwovens plans to invest $6,000,000 dollars into transforming the building into a state of the art nonwoven fabric facility.
The residents of Beaver Dam can be excited for an influx of investments into the community. WPT will be looking to hire 40 new full-time production, quality, and warehouse positions over the next four years. As an established organization in Beaver Dam, WPT was enthusiastic to revitalize a facility once known for its good paying jobs. They are excited to find new ways to improve the city they love, while improving WPT Nonwovens’ future.
The new facility will be fabricating air through bond nonwoven fabric for production of hygiene and personal care nonwovens and filtration media nonwovens.
The expected completion date of the full restoration project is February of 2018.
